A Night to Remember: Woodworks Garden Centre & Café Raises Funds for MS Society Cymru and North Clwyd Animal Rescue
Woodworks Garden Centre & Café was buzzing with excitement on Thursday 11th September 2025, as guests gathered for a lively Charity Quiz Night in support of the MS Society Cymru and North Clwyd Animal Rescue.
The evening brought together friends, families, and quiz enthusiasts for a night of food, laughter, and competition — all for a great cause. Guests enjoyed a delicious homemade lasagne with garlic bread, followed by a cheeseboard prepared by Head Chef Richard and his team, before putting their knowledge to the test in a fun-filled quiz.

With fantastic prizes on offer, the competition was fierce, but it was all in the spirit of community and fundraising. Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, the event raised over £1500 for the two charities.
“We’re absolutely thrilled with the turnout and the support shown on the night.”
Said Simon Field, Cafe Manager at The Woodworks Café.
“It was wonderful to see our community come together to enjoy themselves while raising money for two causes that mean so much to us. We’d like to thank everyone who took part, donated, and supported the event in making it such a success.”
Iwan Gwyn, Garden Centre Manager, added:
“This was a fantastic event that everyone really enjoyed. As the P&A Group celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, we’re marking the milestone with a series of special events. Be sure to follow us on social media to keep up with everything we have planned.”
This event is the latest in a series of fundraising activities in support of the P&A Group’s chosen charities. Over the past year, staff have gone the extra mile by running marathons, taking on bungee jumps, and even conquering the Welsh Three Peaks all to raise vital funds for these causes. Since 2010, the P&A Group has raised an incredible £175,000, with an ambitious goal of reaching £200,000 by the end of this milestone year.
Beneficiaries of this ongoing commitment include Dementia UK, British Heart Foundation, Macmillan Cancer Support, Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospices, Cancer Research UK, Action for Children, Alzheimer’s Society, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Meningitis Now, and MIND — all testament to the company’s deep-rooted ethos of giving back.
