Woodworks Garden Centre is recruiting a Customer Service Assistant to join us as we gear up for our busy Christmas season. If you have a great eye for detail, love working as part of a team and take pride in giving customers a brilliant experience, we’d love to hear from you.

• Contract: Temporary, 21 hours per week, running until 20th December 2026
• Days & hours:
  • Friday: 08:30 – 16:30 (7.5 hrs)
  • Saturday: 08:30 – 17:00 (8 hrs)
  • Sunday: 10:00 – 16:00 (5.5 hrs)

What will I be doing?

As the first face our customers see, you’ll provide efficient, friendly service that helps drive sales and revenue — from operating the tills to answering queries and assisting customers out on the yard. You’ll get to know our range of giftware, furniture, and plants inside and out, and you’ll also help create eye-catching retail displays, so a creative flair and attention to detail will go a long way.

What qualities are we looking for?

• Confident and personable, with strong interpersonal skills
• Previous retail experience is a plus
• Clear communicator, both written and spoken
• Able to juggle multiple tasks and enquiries calmly and decisively
• A keen eye for detail and a genuine desire to deliver great service
• A team player who’s adaptable and flexible
• A positive, solution-focused attitude
