Ingredients
Cake
- 325g Self Raising Flour
- 75g Coco Powder
- 400g Caster Sugar
- 400g Margarine
- 7 Eggs
- Zest of 1 Orange (Keep juice for butter cream)
- Tsp of Orange extract
Buttercream
- 600g icing sugar
- 300g butter
- Reserved juice from orange
For decoration
- Chocolate Ganache
- Chocolate orange sweets
- Chocolate sticks
How to make
- 3 x 9 inch tins / Gas Mark 3 / 160°/ 320 f / Fan oven 140°
- Preheat Oven to 160°
- Cream together margarine and sugar.
- Slowly mix in the dry ingredients and eggs
- Add orange extract and zest
- Line 3 x 9 inch tins
- Cook at 160° for 35 minutes
- Whilst the cakes are baking combine the icing sugar, butter and juice from 1 orange.
- Once cooled, sandwich cakes together with buttercream and decorate with chocolate ganache, chocolate orange sweets and chocolate sticks.
