Woodworks Garden Centre and Café is proud to be part of P&A Group, which has officially achieved B Corp certification.

B Corp certification recognises businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. It is about using business as a force for good and making decisions that consider people, communities and the planet.

For Woodworks, this is especially meaningful. Our garden centre and café sit at the heart of the local community, welcoming customers, supporting local employment and creating a space where people can shop, eat, meet and enjoy time together.

Being part of a Certified B Corporation reflects our commitment to doing things responsibly. This includes supporting our team, caring about the customer experience, improving our environmental practices, reducing waste where we can, and continuing to contribute positively to the local community.

B Corp certification is an achievement we are proud of, but it is also a promise to keep improving. As part of P&A Group, Woodworks will continue to play its part in creating positive impact for our people, our customers, our community and the environment.

Why B Corps Matter

B Corp certification is granted to companies that achieve rigorous benchmarks in social responsibility, environmental impact, and public transparency.
Rather than focusing solely on profit, certified businesses pledge to act as a force for good by weighing the impact of their decisions on their workforce, local communities, and the planet

To achieve and maintain certification, all B Corps:

1. Complete the B Impact Assessment and achieve a verified total score of 80+ points.

2. Meet the B Corp legal requirement– amending Articles of Association to embed a commitment to consider the impact of decisions on all stakeholders.

3. Sign the B Corp Agreement and the Declaration of Interdependence.

They also publicly list their impact score on the B Lab Directory and recertify every 3 years.
